Anyone use a weighted grill press for burgers?

I just saw IHOBS's new commercial tonight. It shows a thick burger patty on a sizzling flat grill being smashed down with a weighted meat press. I've never been to Smash Mouth Burgers but I'm guessing that's how Smash Burgers are made. They were rated the #1 burger last year (too expensive for me). IHOB is following their lead, it seems.

And yes, maybe meat presses are kept hot by letting them sit on a clean part of the the grill to heat up. I didn't think of that.
