Boneless beef ribs?

on sale at local grocery about once a month..

Texas Style beef ribs, boneless shoulder USDA select, 2.99/lb..

"stew meat cubes" is like 4.99/lb..

will this cut substitute for stew, gulyas, etc.?

If this is what is on the label, or in an ad circular then it's not really "Ribs" at all...It boneless shoulder meat....Maybe cut into strips? It should be fine for braising methods/dishes etc. If it were pork shoulder they may label them "Country Style Ribs"-- again not really ribs -- just pork shoulder.
