I found a beef jerkey marinade recipe a long time ago that I use to make all the time. Everyone went crazy over it and I now can not find it. It is possible that it came from this site. Here are the ingredients as I remember them, I think. I might have doubled the recipe here. Any help?
worcstirshire
2 bottles low sodium soy sauce
2 bottles teriyaki
brown sugar
liquid smoke
cayenne
maybe garlic or onion powder

I just made some jerky marinade tonight. It's marinating now. I buy only a lb. of flank at a time when testing jerky marinades, and calculate for the amounts. That recipe called for 4 lbs. of meat.

1 Lb. Flank steak cut into 1/8" strips.
6Tbsp - Teriyaki Sauce
3Tbsp - Brown sugar
3 tsp - Onion Powder
3 tsp - Garlic Power
1 1/2 tsp - Pepper
2 tsp - Liquid Smoke
A few dashes of Worcestershire (not in recipe)
A few dashes more of Teriyaki

The marinade came out a bit gritty even tho I heated it. I think it was the spice powders. We'll see.

I'm going spicy sweet with this recipe. I'm gauging how much liquid smoke to use each time , and also trying not to use so many ingredients, keeping it simpler than other marinades I've tried.

I made a bunch this past fall that turned out really good. I used Dale's Steak Marinade.
I used 50/50 water and Dales( probably a bottle)
1/2 small bottle of liquid smoke
1 tbs of each - granulated garlic, onion pwdr, blk pepper, red pepper flks

Then let marinade for 1.5-2 days.

This was for 5#'s of thin sliced round, I think I used bottom round. Can't remember.:ermm:
