Here's a pretty basic recipe - there are so many variations maybe this one is close.

SWISS STEAK

1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 lb. round steak
2 tbsp. oil
Salt & pepper
1 can mushrooms
1 c. sliced onion
1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
1 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Combine flour and mustard together spreaading on steak then pound into steak. Brown both sides in oil and then season with salt and pepper. Place in small covered roaster. Mix next 5 ingredients, pour over meat, replace cover. and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
