Well, I've made this twice so far. It's great! My kids love it but my wife is on the fence... she really doesn't care for the onion flavor from the soup mix. Is there another mix that will add good flavor with less onion taste?

I tend to agree with your wife, jcv. Next time, I'll scoop out most of the onions from the soup mix. You could also eliminate it all together, and just add a couple of tablespoons of granulated beef base.

i made some fantastic meatloaf a few weeks ago.

3 lb chop meat
1/2 green bell pepper chopped
1/2 red bell pepper chopped
small onion chopped
1 egg
shredded Cabot cheddar
ground sea salt
ground 4 peppercorn blend
dry thyme pinch
dry rosemary pinch
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
Tabasco brand spicy mustard
Tabasco brand spicy ketchup
and ONLY enough uncooked rolled oats to bind (NO bread crumbs).

it was awesome!!
