Rump Roast question

I bought a rump roast on Friday and never froze it. I put it in the refrigerator as I had planned to slow cook it today. I left my crockpot over at my nieces last night so I stuck the roast in the freezer for next weekend. Is it still going to be good since it was never frozen and thawed out, just kept refrigerated from the store and here?

Morning Texas I've done that, bought something planning to cook it right away and ooops..I've frozen the meat, but, first I take it out of the wrap it's in rinse it off and then repackage it..But, I've also just tossed the thing in the freezer, closed the door and, looked skyward and said HELP I've never had a problem...Your roast should be fine...

Kadesma's right...it'll be just fine. Rump roast sounds good...we haven't had one for a while.

thanks constance! I figured it would be okay since it hadn't been frozen, but, needed to ask the experts so I would feel better about it.
