Cooking a ham

my fiance is trying to cook a ham.. he is using cherry coke and brown sugar.... he doesnt cook very much but usually does ok in the kitchen.. has anyone else used these ingredients to cook a ham.. it is not a whole ham and he plans to cook it in the oven on 200 for several hours.

any ides and is he on the right track??

Sounds to me like it should work. What he's doing is slow cooking a ham glazed with a cherry - cola flavored glaze. Reduce the pan drippings to a sauce, and you have a main course.
