ISO sweet and spicy glaze for chops
I have honey pineapple chunks soy sauce apple cider and brown sugar (and just about every spice) at my disposal. I want to make a sweet and spicy glaze sauce (not sweet and sour) but don't know where to start. I am making pork chops but not trying to make the same salt/pepper/pan/or grill chops. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Jay,

Sounds like you have the makings of a good meal. I like pairing pork with pineapple and cutting the sweetness with an apple cider vinegar and some spices like paprika, turmeric, chili flakes etc.

Here is an idea for a recipe I made a while back with pork chops, apples, leeks. Pork Chops with Apple Cider and Leeks « The Arthritis Kitchen Blog

For the above I brined the chops ahead of time but that is not necessary.

You could season the chops with your spices of choice, cook in a pan then remove to keep warm - deglaze your pan with liquids (wine, pineapple juice, stock) tweak the flavors to get what you are looking for and reduce to the consistency you want.
