I found that out on Google about 30 mins ago. I didn't know that, just thought Spam was a Brand name for corned beef or meat in cans in the US.

I agree! I only ever ate it when we couldn't afford proper meat

I used to love the canned corned beef as a kid. One of the Sunday lunch staples at Grandma's.
