i guess you can only raise so many baby pigs for sale as such, thus affecting their price. the rest become sheep pigs, or are famous.

20-29 lb pig...$80.00 Flat rate...So......$4.00/lb on the low side......$2.76/lb. on the high side....about $3.40 Avg per pound.....Larger pigs slightly higher....

Not sure where you are in NJ, but I'd bet that if there's anywhere that you'd find one cheaper it would be Jersey City. Lots of filipinos there and filipinos love their lechon. If you're close to JC at all, try looking up a few places around there for price comparisons.
