the pig is in the freezer !!

Now what? we never bought a pig from a farmer before and OMGoodness there is alot of it !!!!So here my question one of manyhow long will it last in the freezer?what is the different between a pork shoulder steak and a ham steak?what do you do with ham neck bone?any help and easy recipes would be of great help.me the dummy ask for only six pounds of ground pork ,I hang my head down in shame,WOW lot of pig.

If it's tightly wrapped, it will last for many months.

The shoulder is the front leg and the ham is the rear leg. They will be similar. The front leg is a little more fatty.

Pork neck bones are great for flavoring a large batch of tomato sauce. You can also use them to make a pork stock.
