I need some help. I know how to cook using a regular oven but im completely in the dark when it comes to slow cookers. I'm cooking Christmas dinner for my girlfriend and daughter but instead of turkey i have a leg of lamb (because the missus is a picky sod ;)). I have been searching forums for days for cooking times, whether to have it on high or low temperature and i cant find anything.
The leg is boneless and weighs 1.524 kg. I'm no master chef so I'd really appreciate simple answers as im only using carrots, onions and rosemary with the lamb.

Thanks in advance :)

I just want to try new things. I have heard from a few people that slow cooking lamb gives the best results.

I can see using the crock pot for something like lamb stew, where you use tougher cuts. IMO, roasting brings out the best in a leg of lamb. Your boneless leg is perfect for trussing and putting on the spit!:yum:

Craig, what part of a lamb is tougher than the leg?

Roasting is traditional and gives you a nice flavorful browned exterior, but I think pot roasting will work as well.
