I just heard on the late night news that another earthquake of a 6.9 magnitude has struck off the Northern California coast. It is in the same vicinity as the 7.0 earthquake of Tuedsay. Boy, I am glad that I moved away from that area. I lived on that section of the coast from 1989 to 1993.

Sierra, I'm confused about the timing of this one. It says June 17 @ 6:21 UTC - so what time was that in our time zone?

I feel the earth - move - under my feet

I hope this ends soon for all of you who are there!

Earthquakes are quite interesting. I don't mind them at all. The sensation, though, is quite a trip. Kind of like a free fall, only sideways.

jkath, there was a small earthquake at 9:10 am

Thanks, GB. We've had two during the last week, & landslides & homeowners who have lost everything. It's certainly no Disney ride. Glad to hear you're okay, Sierra.
