Bacon Bandages

I think every true foodie should have these in their medicine cabinet.

How cute
Do they come in any other "flavors"??

As often as I burn myself frying bacon I need some of those!

Hey when I was young mom told me not to play in the wood pile because I might step on a nail. Well of course I didn't listen and you can guess what happened. Anyway my foot was so sore and mom felt something up in there but it was deep into the skin. She soaked my foot in milk and bread and then would tape a piece of bacon to the area. After a few days these things drew the foriegn matter down to where she was able to take a sterilized needle and get it out. Turned out to be a big piece of cushion sole from my tennis shoes.
She grew up down south. Many people went to her mother when they needed a cure for something. She'd go out into the woods and gather this and that. Mom learnt a lot from her.

If I put one of those things on while I was fishing I would probably eat it before I got back to shore.

...and that's the way it is in northern Minnesota.
