I do feel better when I do it myself (even if I have help). It's also the only way I can learn anything. I have to be more adventursome when it comes to my computer. I'm always so afraid that I'll push the wrong button and LOSE everything.

I don't think there is really much danger of that any more. Most of the time, if you're venturing into the unknown, you have a lot of options to 'cancel' your action. If you're in danger of losing work or changing programs or something, the program will usually warn you and ask "are you sure you want to do this"?
