Kohlrabi - A green leafy vegetable from the Brassica family. The word kohlrabi comes from the the German word "kohl for cabbage and "rabi" Swiss German variant for turnip. The plant has a swollen stem that resembles a turnip. The taste is similar to broccoli stems.
