Depends on what else is on the menu. Beagle is best with rice, while basset hound goes extremely well with a baked potato.

sour cream... i couldn't imagine bleu cheese in it, but then again, I have never had it that way.

I've had it a few different ways. It has sliced pork, ham, swiss cheese, dill pickle and mustard on cuban bread. I have never been able to find "cuban bread," so I made one using a ciabatta roll instead. There was a restaurant in NY that used salami instead of ham. I think any hearty, crusty bread will do. I've also seen some cubans made with bacon. It's one of my favorite sandwiches! That place I was talking about in NY made the best cuban sandwich I have ever tasted, and where I became so fond of them. Prior to that, I had never had one.
