Palomino's Cream of Mushroom Soup

I am looking for a mushroom soup recipe similar to what they serve at Palomino's. They serve a creamy mushroom soup, which I would like to recreate at home. Anyone have a good recipe for a creamy mushroom soup? I tried looking online for a copycat recipe, but I didnt have any luck.

Toots, this is what I copied from Palomino's menu:

Portabella Mushroom Soup
Fresh portabella and crimini mushrooms, caramelized
onion, cayenne, fresh leeks, sherry, cream. 7

I would just try to find a recipe that used similar ingredients, like this RecipeSource: Cream Of Mushroom Soup (Lie) and make sure you caramelize the onions, toss in a chopped leek or two, and use a portabello/crimini mix for your mushrooms.

mmmmm now _I_ want that soup!! :-)

Thanks - you're awesome! I picked up the ingredients for this today and I'm making the soup tomorrow. We're having company and I think it would be a good starter.
