Stage Deli cabbage soup?

Has anyone tried the cabbage soup that they serve at the Stage Deli? I would love to get a recipe for it, or something close, but so far, no luck.

Its red (tomato or ketchup based I suppose) and sweet. It has small pcs of beef in it, and it is delicious

Any thoughts?

cabbage soup with tomatoes or ketchup?

my guess would be the red comes from beets, since it's supposed to be from eastern european / russian recipes.

i'll swing by one night and see if i can talk one of the cooks into giving me the real deal on it.

I am eager to see this recipe. There is a cabbage soup in the frozen section of my grocery store. I think it's tomato based and looks good but I suspect I won't like it if it's not homemade so I haven't tried it.

I know it is tomato based (like the cabbage rolls from the Czech Plaza), but don't have a TNT recipe. Would love to have one (hint hint hint).
