ISO recipes ideas for ground beef
I'm stuck at home with no car to get groceries with.
I have a pound of ground beef defrosting. I also have: Parm cheese (about 1 cup) Long grain wild rice A few different pastas with and without favor packets Diced tomatoes with green chilis Chicken Broth Cream of mushroom/chicken/celery soups Tators, real and "instant" Shredded cheddar and motz cheese I do NOT have any eggs in the house.....Any ideas? I do NOT like vegetables...green beans, peas, etc...no thank you. Edited to add that I just made BBQ meatloaf the other day, so that is not an option. |

You can leave the veggies out of this recipe if you like.
Also, if you do a search on ground beef, you'll find a ton of recipes. 1 Lb Ground Beef 1 Onion, diced 2 Garlic, minced 1 C Mushrooms, chopped 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup 1/2 C Corn, frozen or 1 sm. can 1/2 C Peas, frozen or 1 sm. can 1 Can Sliced Potatoes Sauté the ground beef in a 12” sauté pan until the meat is cooked, draining off any excess fat. Add the onions, mushrooms and garlic and sauté. Add the remaining ingredients and cook over low heat until heated through.

You can do the same with Andy M.'s recipe but use over cooked noodles or rice instead of the potatoes. The little bit of veggies in his recipe will still be good or you can leave them out ( I see that you said you do not like them). You can also add the diced tomatoesw/chiles to this mixture to add different flavor to the mix.

I would cut down on the liquid - drain off a little of the tomatoes. The beef is precooked and the potatoes are sliced thinly - it should cook up/through.
Another ideas is meatball stroganoff (using the mushroom soup), and serving over rice or noodles. |
