I may have overfilled my crockpot (chicken, vegetables including crushed tomatoes) - will it cookdown? Or will the liquid overflow?

Were it me, I'd remove some of the liquid into a small pot and set it in the refridgerator and keep an eye on the crock pot, if you see it needs liquid warm the extra then return it to your crock pot..My expierence is that if I add a 1/4 cup of liquid, I'm going to end up with at least a cup or two in the end depending on what I'm cooking..Rather than risk a mess I'd just take some out.

Liquid generally doesn't cook down much in a crockpot because there's not much evaporation. I read somewhere that a crockpot operates most effectively when it's about 2/3-3/4 full.
