Bought this 5 qt. programmable crock pot and have used it 6 or 7 times and it seems to cook more like some of the older slow cookers we've had before.
Beef stew cooked on Hi for 5 hr. didn't boil. Just lightly simmered at the last of the cooking cycle.
This new programmable pot is different from the Smart-pots of the past.
With this one you select Hi or Lo and and key in how long you want it to cook in 30 minute increments up to 20 hours and when that time is up it switches to a keep warm setting.
