Here is the easiest comfort meal to make:

Grown-Up Chicken and Noodles
3 large skinless boneless chicken breasts
¼ cup butter (1/2 stick) - melted
1 can golden mushroom condensed soup
1 packet dry Italian dressing mix
4 oz. chive and onion cream cheese
½ cup dry white wine

Combine all ingredients and for four hours on low. Shred chicken 15 minutes before serving. Serve over wide noodles.

Looks delicious, but one question: with the condensed soup (which I've used before & know is somewhat salty) plus the dry Italian dressing mix & no other liquid, how salty does this turn out?

I'm not a salt person and thought this was good - it was definately not too salty. Actually, now that I think about it DH got the salt and pepper for his!

Thanks! Now I'll definitely be giving this a try.:chef:

The only thing I've used Campbell's Golden Mushroom Soup for in the past has been as a "sauce", thinned with some dry sherry, for Egg Foo Yung, & I recall not adding more than a few drops of soy sauce to it because it already seemed more than salty enough.
