Aussie in US

Hi I'm originally from Australia, moved to the US about 7 yrs ago. Sometimes still have trouble with conversions and substitutes for my Aussie recipes.

Hi and welcome to DC! I'm also in Virginia. What brought you to the U.S.?

We have an active Aussie member, Kylie. We have light-hearted trouble with her conversions and slang I should have memorized the conversion from Centigrade to Fahrenheit, but I still have to use an online calculator sometimes

I am constantly using a reference card i got from an Australian magazine. It has a prime spot on my fridge for a quick reference to general conversions of weight, measurements and temps.

Don't feel bad. I was born here and still have problems figuring it all out. I'm sure you'll get more comfortable with conversions soon.

Hello and welcome Ozblonde. I'm a newbie too, but the natives seem friendly!
