Howdy all! Just found this site while researching quality cooking knives, and decided I just had to join. 
I live in British Columbia, Canada, (up above Seattle for those of you who are geographically disinclined) and just love to cook for family and friends.
I'm a journalist by trade, and serve as a firefighter in my community. While most of the boys don't want much more than a perfectly grilled burger or steak, no one complains when I bring out something a touch fancier.
It'll be nice to converse with people who understand my passion for cooking.
