I am a wife and mother of 4 daughters, and I love to cook/bake! I look forward to learning from all of you, and hopefully can share a few new things too. I am happy to found this site.

Thanks! I was just curious. What's your favorite thing to cook?

Wow, that is actually a hard question! I love to cook anything Italian!! My girls love to make crab stuffed shrimp with me though, that is there favorite; therefore, one of mine too.

How about you?

Just about anything that I can put on the smoker. I'm a big believer in low and slow. Crab stuffed shrimp sounds interesting.

I'm sure we would all like to have the recipe. Post it when you get a chance.

Crab Stuffed Shrimp
16-20 large shrimp
1 cup crab meat
¾ cup bread crumbs
½ cup diced onion
¼ cup red bell pepper
¼ cup green pepper
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp butter
½ tsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
Salt and pepper

Finely dice onion, red pepper, and green pepper. Sautee in butter along with the chopped garlic. Add crabmeat and mix. Remove from the heat and add the bread crumbs and remaining ingredients, mix well. Season to taste (I usually add a pinch of garlic powder).

Peel, devein, and butterfly the shrimp. Stuff each shrimp with crab stuffing.

Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown; about 8-10 minutes.

Variations: depending on my mood, sometimes I use Italian bread crumbs and sprinkle each shrimp with fresh parmesan before baking.
