Hello Out there,
My name is Geoff, . I was looking for a South African potjie When I when found this very interesting forum quite by accident.

I am a Brit who lives in Portugal but works in South Sudan in Equatorial Africa. I work on land mine clearing projects & spend most of my working time "In the bush". The diet is very limited with goat meat, beans, rice & maize porridge (I think thats called grits in the US?).

So I was looking for some means of varying my diet. I have always been an enthusiastic amature cook & the recipes & ideas in the forum are a godsend.

Good eating & God bless

Welcome Geoff-if there are any variations on goat meat n' beans, somebody at DC will know it!

You clear land mines for a living? Wow-god bless you for the work that you do!!!
