A very belated thank you for all of your wonderful birthday wishes!!!!!!Because this was a very traumatic birthday(I turned 50)I decided to have a birthday party. The last time I had a party was when I was 16. All of the gifts were wrapped in holiday wrapping paper but I've gotten used to this phenomenom over the years. I made a buffet of many different things in and even though I only had 14 guests I cooked for 30. The menu was:
Chicken wings marinated with ginger, garlic soy sauce and sweet chili sauce,
Mushroom bacon and cheese Tartlettes
Broccoli Cheddar Tartlettes.
Four cheese Tartelettes
Smoked Salmon and cream cheese spirals on pumpernickel rounds
Pasta shells stuffed with crab, shrimp, Sea Perch in a tarragon mayonaisse
Traditional Roast goat with potatoes
Pimento slices stuffed with black eyed pea and smoked herring dip
Cappuccino Cheese cake
It was a lot of work but well worth it as I watched the food disappear.
