GB - it was wonderful!

First, I had a glass of rosé from Vision Cellars (Chef June will know this!)

Then as follows:

Vicky: Chocolate Salad
Michael: Spinach Salad

Vicky: Hudson Valley Foie Gras with a glass of Sauternes
Michael: Maine Sea Scallop Sandwich with a glass of buttery Chard

Bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir to go with:

Vicky: Braised Black Grouper with Clams and Mussels
Michael: Soft-shell Crab w/smoked onion corn cumin vinaigrette...

Vicky: Blackberry Mojito
Michael: Port

Us: Apple Crisp with homemade vanilla ice cream

Needless to say it was an amazing meal!

That looks like a great meal. How was the chocolate salad? That sounds like such an interesting combo of flavors.

I think I would have ordered the soft shell crab like Michael.

The chocolate was very lightly microplaned...very subtle. I tasted some on my finger and it wasn't even an extremely bitter chocolate. My salad was exceptional. Michael's soft-shell crab was a flavor explosion!!!! The black-eyed peas were perfectly aldente and the corn relish/coconut rice...simply amazing. The appy vote went to me, the entree vote went to Michael...but seriously, the other appy and other entree were amazing, but, the flavors were more mild, but, can't say enough good about them.
