Hello everyone. I'm pretty new to this whole cooking thing. I've been eating pre-packaged and restaurant food for the majority of my life. Finally had enough and would like to become a pretty decent cook. My first question: is there a Forum for inexperienced cooks?

Good morning from North Wales, No there is not, there is no need. The members here to a man/woman are charming so even the daftest question is answered politely( I know because I asked a few) so ask away

I was married by a judge, I should have asked for a jury.

I agree with Bolas, you have found what you need. We can take you from what to buy to make a really basic kitchen on a budget, to how to make decent nutritious every-day meals, to how to do an easy, but impressive, meal for your family or a date.

Thank you both for the welcome. I guess I'll go post my first question (well technically my second).

Welcome to DC. As others have said, you've found the right place.
