I'm an old bachelor cook. Been a member of this outfit for many years now. Occasionally resolve to quit for good because a number of members point out that I don't really fit in with the clique. Haven't yet found out how to effectively get shed of it. Always get e-mails saying somebody responded to a post or thread I participated in. And that reminds me how much I enjoyed sharing ideas with the folks here; some of them anyway. So maybe as the result of this post, I'll be effectively banned and that will be the end of it. If not, I'll try to totally ignore the posts of the wannabe upper crusters desperately looking for a way assert their superiority.

I like old music. In the 1920s Gid Tanner and his Skilletlickers were rock stars.

That's a group I'm going to have to look up. Never heard of them before.

Charlie Poole and the North Carolina Ramblers were contemporaries and their music has held up a little better.

But "Rambler" isn't as much fun as a username on a cooking forum.

Skilletlicker guitar picker was Riley Pucket though and his musicianship is still admired.
