I am new to this website and just wanted to introduce myself. I am a southern girl based in the Midwest and I am trying to reconnect to the lesser-known cooking traditions and culinary history of the Inner Banks of North Carolina. Since I can't stop by the local restaurant or pop over to my grandmother's house, I have to really buckle down and keep those culinary traditions alive.
I am also very interested in building a decent repertoire of Mid-Atlantic coastal recipes...and I would like to collect some good, older cookbooks that are not commercially available (i.e., Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, Young Baptist Women circa 1983, etc.)...
Also, I am trying to learn to be better on the charcoal grill this summer (so, please, wish me luck, y'all
