Just joined at another member's invitation. I come from a family of cooks. My Mom cooked on a farm for her 7 siblings from the time she was able. My Dad was a USAF fighter pilot raised on a farm with 9 siblings. His mother was an outstanding farm cook and gardener. Raised everything they ate! He got into gourmet cooking after all his AF travels. My late brother could cook the best cream puff you ever ate at age 10, so he ultimately became a chef (no big surprise there). He was Executive Chef at Top of the Mark in San Francisco a number of years. So cooking is in my blood. :) I started low-carbing in 2009 and have run a LC recipe blog ever since, converting old family favorites and creating new recipes along the way. I'm always glad to chat with other cooks and look forward to doing so here.
