I don't think I've ever had food from Okinawa. I know it's somewhat different from the rest of Japan. I am originally from Yokohama.

How embarrassing, shows how much I know about Japanese girls names. I thought Yuri was a Russian boy name. Sorry about that.

Yuri is indeed a Russian boy's name. The OP, Yuri is short for Yuriko. :)

Okinawa is on my list next time I go to Japan. I have recently visited Japan for the first time. Besides the superb food I also enjoyed the smelly onsen.
