Hi, I'm a college student living in an apartment for the first time. It leaves me to cook alot of the meals for myself and roommates, and I'm quite inexperienced when it comes to cooking. Hoping to learn a bit from the site!

Welcome, Jorado89. Good luck with both your studies and your meal ideas. There are plenty here to discover. On the cheap and diverse, your best friends in the kitchen will be pasta of any and all types. Garlic, salt, ground pepper, oil, canned artichokes, tomatoes, clams, olives, mushrooms, even tuna.
Keep us posted about your kitchen creations. Enjoy.
