Name's Stephen, and I'm terribly new to cooking. I started dieting and exercising almost two years ago when I tipped the scales at 280. Now I'm 215 pounds and trying to lose more and keep it all off.

The reason I want to learn how to cook is I feel that if I can prepare my own healthy meals regularly, it will greatly aid me in keeping my weight down and more motivated to stay healthy and in shape.

I look forward to participating in this community :)
