Hi, I'm Kat from Northern California. I am a 58 yr. old Christian lady, living in Northern California who loves to entertain and be creative in the kitchen. I am married with no children (no 2-legged children, just 4-legged children).

I am always looking for creative ways to use leftovers (which is how I stumbled across this forum today) and to be frugal (to a certain degree) in the kitchen. I am especially into baking and candy making during the holidays. I love learning to make things from scratch, just recently learning to make sauerkraut, hot sauce and deli mustard. I am a follower of Cook's Illustrated and Taste of Home.
