Hi from Long Island, NY
Hello everyone ,
I am new here and I just wanted to introduce myself. I live on the South Shore of Long Island with my husband and three kids. I love to cook and talk about food.

Welcome Sunrise, from a born & bred Long Islander (Setauket) transplanted to Virginia back in '94.

Small world, isn't it?
I grew up fishing & clamming in all the local North Shore waters (Little Bay (I lived - & my parents still do - on Strong's Neck), Setauket Harbor, Port Jeff Harbor, Long Island Sound), & crabbing on the Eastern South Shore. It sure is sad to see what's happened there. I still remember - long before the Stony Brook University days - when you could swim out way into deep water & still see the bottom. Now you can't see the bottom even 2-3 feet from shore.
