Let us know what kind of foods yu are inerested in. We can certainly come p with healthy, and great tasting foods. Does you DH have any food restrictions, or health issues that would make certain kinds of foods better or worse for him?

Does he enjoy veggies, or seafood? Does he prefer fowel, or red meat, beef, or pork. Does he enjoy winter, or summer squash, or both, cbbage, or any of the cruciferous veggies?

Give us a clew as to what you are looking for. We can help. And welcome to DC.

Welcome! A lot of healthy (and not so healthy) recipes can be found here. No magic seasoning to make him enjoy eating healthy. If he's on board, GREAT. If you are trying to sneak healthy past him...best of luck!

Welcome to the forum, Janet!

So, what kinds of cuisines do you normally cook? Even if you don't cook, or even like, Indian food, if there is an Indian market near you, some of the most nutritious foods can be found there, and they can be used in other cuisines. There are a large number of lentils and other legumes, which are some of the most nutritious foods you can cook, and they have a large number of flours from whole grains, as well as many of the legumes. Some of the lentils cook up very fast, and are a good way to thicken a soup, instead of adding flour or starch. Masoor dal, or red lentils, are found almost everywhere now, and they are one of those fast cooking ones. Homemade bread is another way of getting something more nutritious into your diet, as well as saving a lot of money!

Healthy can be deliscious. Think mussels, clams, and shrip, all swiming in marinara sauce, and plated on top of whoe-grain linguinimand a sprinkling of freshly gragted Parmesano Regiano cheese, or a good three bean salad, or maybe stuffed peppers, or cabage rolls. You could serbe a bautiful roassted hciken with a side of sweet potatoes, or rutabaga, or even black-eyed peas with garlic and pepper.

Other great, and healthy dishes include:
1, baked fish,
2, pan-seared petite steaks,
3. Fish Cakes
4. almond crusted Rainbow Trout, steelhead, or salmon
5. fresh tuna
6. Any steamed veggie, such as asparagus, carrots, green beans, etc.
7 New England Boiled Dinner
8. Oxtail Soup or Osso bucco made from marrow bones, or veal shanks
9. Lamb Chops with sour kraut and roasted potatoes
10. Spaghetti Carbanara
11. Quiche Lorraine
12. etc.
