This indeed was a wonderful birthday! Alix, you know me so well...I was busily decorating till the guests arrived! The entire day was spent cooking, eating with, and enjoying my wonderful family. What more could anyone ever want? My parents gave me the most priceless gift: a wooden chest that holds a 118-piece silverware set that was given to them on their first anniversary (44 years ago) from my Dad's mother. The silver is so beautiful, and since my mom just polished it, we used it for the feast.
