All that, GLC, and the gateway to the Hill Country as well.

Some people have all the luck.

Sometimes, I catch myself thinking about places to retire to. Then I notice that there's a reason we turn up in the list of best places.

@GLC: Austin - Great, that is it - Grapevine

Thanks so much ... I had just confirmed up with my daughters ... The Grape Vine ... and the three of us had taken a wonderfully well presented insightful Wine Tasting Course too ... The owner was a cool dude.

Secondly, the dinner carte sounds lovely. Nice use of spice and piquant heat too. Please do post their future dinners.

Yes me too ... Great movement ... I truly prefer small restaurants, cozy, comfortable, casual yet a touch of subtle elegance ... fresh flowers or candles perhaps and low keyed lighting or rustic with fireplace, or contemporary clever minimalism however, without too much glitz or emptiness ---

We liked Austin quite alot ... I had mentioned, we liked the dining scene and the cultural awareness ... truly a city to revisit and re-explore.
Kindest for the info.
