Hi! Glad to be here. I love to cook and specialize in southern and southwestern cuisine, some mexican and indian. I make cheeses, yogurt etc on my small dairy farm, but I am still experimenting w/ recipes. I just made a batch of buttermilk pies w/ buttermilk from sheep milk, which is about twice as rich as goats milk. They turned out great but I am still getting a too brown crust. Back to the drawing board! I love to experiment w/ recipes, which means my chickens eat pretty well! (lol)
I'd love to meet other cheesemakers and others who use a lot of dairy products, especially unusual milks like sheep and goat.
hello to everyone! Lily1 :chef: ( i so gotta get one of these hats!)

Hi Lily1 - welcome to Discuss Cooking.

Goat cheese - the soft, creamy kind!!!!!!!! YUM! There is a local farm that makes rosemary flavored, chive, blueberry and lemon zest, garlic, and others. They are AWESOME!

Hope to see you around here often! :chef:
