New here--hello everyone :-)
Hi there
am new to this site, looks interesting ,hope to learn a lot of food related stuff here My first question is quite basic and will post in Techniques forum, but in case any one wants to give any pointers: How do you get a big tortilla using a tortilla press.i have a eight inch one, but i only am able to get small circle (maybe less than 4 inch diameter -- does the dough consistency need to be different .. any and every advice will be tried!!! Thanks, vyjoo |

Hi welcome aboard. I'm new too, like to play with food and not a chef, so don't look at me for an answer to your question.....unless you want a frisbee. I have made many many frisbees, hockey pucks and deadly weapons out of food. :)

Welcome to the site. We are so glad you found us
What happens when you try to make one larger than 4 inches? You should just be able to use more dough to get the tortilla to fill out the whole press.
