New Member from San Diego...

Hello all,
I'm new to this forum. I do the majority of the cooking at home. I'm 54 yo, married and father to grown twin sons. I just heard about this place, so I thought I'd give it a looksee.

Hi there Hammster, and welcome to DC. You'll find this a good place to hang out. Do you have anything special that you like to cook?

Thanks all for the welcome.
Kayelle, there isn't anything necessarily special I like to cook. I'm better at stovetop cooking and cooking/roasting meats than I am at baking/pastry. But I always make it a bit of a mission to improve so my baking/pastry skills are getting better.
I have a pretty strong grasp on various techniques and methods so I don't tend to follow recipes too closely with the exception of breads, cakes, etc that sort of do need the ratios to be correct.
