Kayelle, there isn't anything necessarily special I like to cook. I'm better at stovetop cooking and cooking/roasting meats than I am at baking/pastry. But I always make it a bit of a mission to improve so my baking/pastry skills are getting better.
I have a pretty strong grasp on various techniques and methods so I don't tend to follow recipes too closely with the exception of breads, cakes, etc that sort of do need the ratios to be correct.
