New to the Forum
I have been a foodie for a couple years now. In the past year or so I have started a food blog highlighting good eats, drinks and coffee from New York, Portland, and my home state of Oklahoma. I have been focusing on honing my cooking skills in the past year as well, purchasing my first good chef's and paring knives and working with my cutting skills.
My next goal is to become more knowledgeable with spices and herbs. A friend and I will be testing each other with ground spices and herbs and will then move on to simple recipes but incorporating all the spices and herbs and hoping to be able to taste the differences.
Thanks in advance for any and all help I will be asking for in the future.
Tonight's meal: Pan fried lobster claw with mango puree yolk, cucumber and avocado salad with mint caviar , steamed lobster tail served in shell with garlic butter, and fruit frozen in time (fresh berries and lavender in a sparkling Riesling)
