Hello everyone. I'm from New Orleans, but have been living in Georgia the past 10 years.
I grew up eating Cajun food and have in recent years started to learn to cook it for myself since I miss it so much. My wife is a southern cook so I enjoy home-style food as well.
I've found myself now more interested than ever in learning how to cook properly. I'm interested in learning how flavors go together and how to balance one particular property of an ingredient with another particular property of another ingredient. I don't quite understand that yet. I joined this forum to hopefully learn a little bit of that as well as cooking techniques and to just to get inspiration.
