i figured i better say a formal hi

i'm vi from pa
i found you all because i am replacing a lot of cookware (not all though)
over the years i have gotten some really good pieces and some really 'not so good but needed in a hurry' pieces which were non stick and now it is time to ditch the non stick ( we have birds now, and the non stick is peeling)
this is going to be fun but is also a LOT of research
and has also reminded me to THINK about how i cook what i cook
and ask if there are better ways
let's see.......i'm italian, i was raised old world, and i cook from scratch.
i can and preserve and while this year did not raise a garden due to a back injury, normally i garden.
i also keep chickens and ducks as pets and for eggs (and occasional dinners from my surplus males)
so i will be haunting the cookware section for now
