I live outside philadelphia in chester county. I am a foreman for a painting company. I have been enjoying cooking for as long as I can remember. When I was 12, I washed dishes at a Restaurant/Bar. I would watch the chef all the time (when I wasn't washing dishes). I was his guinea pig when he created new menu items. They were always good! When I learned how to bowhunt for deer, it gave me a new meat to work with. I especially was fond of the heart. The backstraps are always tasty! I haven't gotten a bear yet, so when I do, I will try it out as well.
This is too true. Bear are omnivores and will eat from garbage dumps, will chew on carrion, as well as berries, herbs, and the occasional tourist. But I wouldn't eat any bear meat that wasn't cooked thoroughly.
Oh, and welcome to DC. You're going to love it here.
