Hi everyone,

I live outside philadelphia in chester county. I am a foreman for a painting company. I have been enjoying cooking for as long as I can remember. When I was 12, I washed dishes at a Restaurant/Bar. I would watch the chef all the time (when I wasn't washing dishes). I was his guinea pig when he created new menu items. They were always good! When I learned how to bowhunt for deer, it gave me a new meat to work with. I especially was fond of the heart. The backstraps are always tasty! I haven't gotten a bear yet, so when I do, I will try it out as well.:chef:

bear being wild may have internal critters so best to serve better done than medium I'm told. 165-170* truth? anyone know.

This is too true. Bear are omnivores and will eat from garbage dumps, will chew on carrion, as well as berries, herbs, and the occasional tourist:LOL:. But I wouldn't eat any bear meat that wasn't cooked thoroughly.

Oh, and welcome to DC. You're going to love it here.
