Chief LW,
Being a Yooper of particular age do you know who Yogi Yorgensen is? A friend of mine(A Yooper) would bring tapes of his old 78s in around Christmas time and I wish I could find them on CD. Funny stuff!

Just be yourself! Everyone else is taken.

Yogi Yorgenson was a character created by Harry Stewart, a man born to a Norwiegent immigrant, in Tacoma Washington. Mr. Stewart moved to Los Angeles and created his comic character because he was literally a starving artist who needed work. The character was a hit and was used between the 1930's and 1960's. He never lived in the midwest and use an exagerated Swedish accent for his character. At least, that's what I read while researching him on google.

Nope, my friend, I've never heard of him before you mentioning him. I listened to a YouTube peformance of Yingle Bells. It was much like I would expect to hear from a uniquely Yooper music/comedy troupe called, yep, you guessed it, The Yoopers. I liked what I heard. I'm sure you could find his work sold at Amazon.com, or maybe on ebay.

Good luck in your search, and thanks for introducing me to a comedy act I'd never been exposed to.

Good morning from North Wales.
I was married by a judge, I should have asked for a jury.

Welcome Aboard Zagat

Buongiorno e Bienvenidos,

Welcome Aboard Zagat from Puglia, Italia and Madrid Capital, The Iberian Peninsula.

The diversity ethnically, gastronomically and philosophically at D.C. is a Culinary Education in itself. Though we are all from varying countries, there is an amazing mixture of epicurism styles, how to guidance and recipes to keep you fascinated indefinitely.

There is only one thing I wish to impart and have experienced is; if you do not share a similar culinary philosophy with a blogging member, and who decide to eat their style in a free society, then, go on and discuss food with those members that you empathize more with and that have more in common with your life style and culture ...

Have a lovely week,
Regards, Ciao,
Margaux Cintrano.

First off let me say "Thanks" to all the nice folks who have taken the time to reply to my nonsence.

I'm in the stone age on dial-up here. For some reason the posts stop loading and I sometimes can't read them all. The first page stops at post 8 and the second page starts at post 11. Sorry 9 & 10, I don't get it downloaded. I've also not been able to use the search function. Any of you computer savy folks who know what I can do to improve matters please let me know.

I'm sure being a nurse you've seen alot but I'll bet ya I can find something to offend ya.
But I have no desire to do so and I hope that we can all have not just some fun but lot's of fun.

Chief Longwind,

Glad to meet you.
So you're never wrong?

Seems we have something in common.

I've only made one mistake in my life.

For some reason I thought I was wrong and I just never should have done that. Turns out I was right after all.

Don't worry, I don't give a rass what the state of Michigan says.
I live in Maryland and don't care what they say either.

Lake Superior might be the best fresh water place on the planet but the Cheaseapeake Bay is the best body of water on the planet.

Keep your pasties. I need to see whats there.

I'll watch for Shrek. But I've been called an Oger myself. Just ask any of my ex girlfriends.

"Humility allows one to learn."
This is true but when your as great as I am it's heard to be humble.
" We expect you to be as civilized as our least civilized member "

Well I guess I'd better just give up now.

"Ok. It's not really your job to prevent forest fires."

Well then you'd better listen to Smokey the Bear. "Only you can prevent forest fires." And I know that's true because I saw the real Smokey at the National Zoo years ago. (Yes, I'm that old.)

Thanks for the welcome from across the big pond. If you folks want the real estate back I'll bet you could make an offer to help us out of our debt.

Thank you for the welcome too.
I'm open to all forms of styles and will listen to any and all. It's a matter of what my thick skull will let in.

Thanks for saying "Welcome"
From your post I see I must post a picture of myself in a blond wig if I offend someone. The picture didn't download and for some reason I'm not too sad about that.

But you all don't know what your missing since I'm sure I'll never offend anyone and I'm sure I look real cute in a blone wig.

Hell I'm sure I'd look cute with any hair at all.

Enjoy life peoples. It's the only one you get.

''The first thing to remember about me is that I have a weird sence of humor... I have no social skills so I'm sure I'll offend someone along the way. ''
At a guess, I think you will fit in, but you are scaring the hell out of me already. If it gets too bad, I suppose I can find that 'hide posts by this user' that I have not yet had to bother looking for.

''I'm too dumb to take offence at anything.''
Is this your saving grace?
